Ha! So great. After college, with little to show for the experience other than an animated thesis, I moved to LA thinking I was going to work at Spümcø. Once I arrived, I realized A) no job awaited, and B) I wasn't actually qualified to do anything. Luckily, I did find work as a Junior Art Director / Storyboard Artist at an ad agency on Wilshire that I could walk to. And as fate would have it, I ended up working on The Red & Stimpy Action Figures line for Hasbro. And now I'm rich! RICH, I tell ya!!
I adore Blossom Dearie. Her song selection was brilliant and her sidemen were tops; usually Ray Brown played bass. She was awfully hip and pitch perfect and fun. Give it a shot now that you're almost grown.
“One of the Ren & Stimpy episodes I wrote got me my first Emmy nomination, but we lost to a Shakespeare special that many on our staff complained was poorly written.”

Great reminisce.
Blossom Dearie is great! Listen to Multiplication Rock Figure Eight and tell me you don't think Blossom is great.
