I am always glad to subscribe and even more importantly read AB. Yes, it is difficult to write humor when we live in an age perhaps best described by John Farago (I believe) "where we ask the reader to work too hard... we wrote a parody of the World's Fair and never told people that it had to be read in page order" (Paraphrased I also believe).
I don't want to live in a world that doesn't have The American Bystander. It's a printed literary salon full of engaging writers and hilarious artists. And much better than an in-person salon, where all those artists and writers would be standing nervously in the corner, hiding in the bathroom or exiting early from invented maladies.
