Editor & Publisher “Weasel” here. Files for Bystander #24 are finally shipped (subscribers can download the PDF from Patreon here), along with the 2023 subscriber-only Calendar. I’ve been in a dead sprint since October 1. But now—at 10:03 p.m. on December 23rd!—my holidays can finally begin.

Thank you for helping me do a job I clearly love. As a token of appreciation, and to celebrate my not staring at a monitor for at least 36 hours, I wanted to send out this piece I wrote for The American Bystander #9.

If you tend to get blue this time of year, I can relate. Let’s you and me try a little trick: whenever you see yourself in a mirror, smile. I’ll do the same. That’s us smiling at each other. Perhaps ruefully at times, but still.

Have a happy one, whatever you celebrate.

PS—If anyone wants to give Bystander’s Holiday Bundle as a last-minute gift, I’ll keep Priority Mail’ing back issues. You keep buyin’, I’ll keep packin’.
